SY/T 6423的本部分規定了無(wú)縫和焊接鐵磁性鋼管管體和端面/坡口面的表面缺欠磁粉檢測的要求。
對于管體，包括全部或部分外表面的表面缺欠檢測。若購方和供方另有協(xié)議，包括距管端一定距離范圍內的表面缺欠檢測，檢測距離取決于鋼管直徑。
此外，本部分可以用于其他無(wú)損檢測方法(如超聲檢測)檢出鋼管外表面缺欠的定位，以及確認缺欠是否完全去除。
對于管端的平端面和坡口端面，本部分規定了分層缺欠檢測的要求，分層缺欠會(huì )影響后續裝配和檢測操作(如焊接和焊縫的超聲檢測)。
本部分適用于分層缺欠、端面/坡口面缺欠的檢測，磁化磁場(chǎng)的方向垂直于被檢測缺欠的方向。
本部分也適用于空心部件的檢測。
