GB/T18802的本部分規定了低壓電涌保護器的特性、標準試驗方法和額定值，這些電器至少包含一個(gè)用來(lái)限制電壓和泄放電涌電流的非線(xiàn)性的元件。
本部分適用于對雷電的間接和直接效應或其他瞬態(tài)過(guò)電壓的電涌進(jìn)行保護的保護器。這些電器被組裝后連接到交流額定電壓不超過(guò)1000V（有效值）,50/60Hz的電路和設備。
