The document describes rules for the indication of surface texture to be used in technical product documentation by means of graphical symbols and textual indications. All requirements necessary for the unambiguous determination of the relevant surface texture value is named and explained.parameters yj`:11 6.1 General The parameter designation and the associated numerical value, which shall be indicated, includes four items of information essential for the interpretation of the requirement. These are 一 which of the three surface profiles (R, W or P) is indicated, 一 which characteristic of the profile is indicated, 一 how many sampling lengths make up the evaluation length, and 一 how the indicated specification limit shall be interpreted.
