ChinaAbstract: Owing to the close correlation of development of oil and gas reservoir and spatialgeological place, the technique of GIS can be introduced into the process of developmentand management of oil and gas reservoir. But development of oil and gas reservoir has itsparticularity, development and management GIS of oil and gas reservoir should use theother techniques to extend the forms of representation to make up the shortages of gis inrepresentation. The development and management GiS of oil and gas reservoir will beperfect besides the basic functions of GIS. This paper expatiates how to use othertechniques to extend GIS in development and management of oil and gas reservoir mainlyfrom productive dynamic curve of well, layers of map piling up, 3-D geological model andreplaying maps, etc. Through extended GIS in development and management of oil andgas reservoir, the forms of representation of geological information are enrichedrepresentations of information are more direct and visual, spatial descriptive ability andforms of representation of GiS are built up and the single information system will bedeveloped into a management and decision-making system.Key words: GIS; development of reservoir; 3-d geological modelCLC number: TP391: P208ode: A1 Prefacee shown. Geographic information system cannange geological spatial and attribute informationDevelopment and productive management of oil at the same time, so the technique of GiS can beand gas reservoir refers to geology of reservoir, introduced into development of oil and gasfeatures of storage layers, structure of well, reservoir. But development of reservoir is ofechniques of oil extraction, pipelines on the particularities, such as, distributing status ofground, processing of reservoir and productive reservoir underground cant be predicted and insidedynamic, etc. Its correlative specialities are many, status of reservoir changes with time. So, thespatial distributing is wide and integration on the development and management Gis of oil and gasground and underground of 3-D spatial movement reservoir must adopt other techniques to enrichin development of reservoir. Moreover, as technological connotation of GIs and improvecommon database system is applied to manage descriptive ability of GIs. Besides, it has basic functions of GIsThe reports about how to apply other techniquesto extend GIS are few. So, this research is more ofrealistic significance and works developmentalabout how to extend the technique of giS to othertrades. We will expatiate how to realize extensionof Gis by using other techniques in developmentand management GiS of oil and gas reservoir fromthe followingsFig 1 Productive dynamic curve of well2 Productive dynamic curve of well development and management GIS of oil and gasreservoir so that the corresponding tools should beWhen we observe the changes of all kinds of developed in use of other techniques to make upparameters in the process of producing of the shortcomings of current GIsWe develop module of layers piling up, usingof curve. X-axis has the one to many relations with techniques of computer graphics combined withY-axis for the kind of curve. Based on thetechnique of OpenGL. The module embedded inrelation, changeable complexion of many kinds ofdevelopment and management GIS of oil and gasparameters with time can be shown. Many groups reservoir has made up the shortcomings of currentof coordinates can protract synchronously GIS in map showing at great extent. The modulehangeable conditions ofatput, accumulated of layers piling up realizes that many differentoutput, compressive stress and time of oilborderline layers are piled up after theirextraction, etc. especially for curves of oil and gas borderlines are unified. So, managers can observeextraction. But common tools, such as Excelgraph and current plotting controls that integrated many layers of the same reservoir at the same timein order that managers are convenient to observe, and developing environment of software providesan't realize the above functions at all. In ordecompare, analyse and make right decisions. Fig. 2solve the above problems, plotting controls foris an example of layers piling up moduleurve of multiple Y-axises are developed throughgroupware technique of ActiveX, see Fig. 1. But plane maps are Now, most software of GIS is based on 2-D datashown only one by one, when common softwares structure so that they can't effectively solve 3-Dof GIS show maps. So, different regions of maps problem. But it's very difficult to modify insideare inconvenient for being compared. It's unnecessary to make data outputdistributing status of reservoir and well again, when we review all kinds of pictures thatdistributing status. But current software of Gis have been exported. The users can organizehasnt still met their needs. In gis of development browsing maps and establish map-browsingand management of reservoir, we establish 3-Dlection, according to their own orders ofgeological model, using DEM and knowledge about browsing maps in use of map-replaying modulegeostatistics, and protract 3-D graphics in use of Map-browsing structure is saved beforehand in thetechnologies of computer graphics combined database. When users browse maps next time, ittechnique of OpenGL. Then, we extend 3-Dill be unnecessary to reorganize map-browsingspatial descriptive ability of development and structure. Users can replay maps by organizedmanagement GIS of oil and gas reservoir. As a map-browsing structure or go on to modify map-result, the shortcomings of common GIS in 3-D browsing collection and adjust organized structurespatial description are made up. 3-D geological of maps, see Fig 4.
