Only 4 species werereported by Li et al. (1998) and Wen & Chen (2006). In this paper, a new species, S. (N.)henanense sp. nov, is described. The type specimens are deposited in the Department oSimulium (Nevermannia) henanense, sp. nov. (Figs. 1~10)Female. Body length 3.1 mm.Wing length 2.4 mm.Head. Slightly narrower than thorax. Frons and clypeus black, whitish grey pruinose,covered with short grayish yellow hairs. Frons ratio 7.2 : 5.0: 7.5. Frontal-head ratio7.2 : 27.5. Fronto-ocular area well developed. Antenna composed of 2+9 segments, brownishblack except scape, pedicel pale yellow, 1st flagellar segment about 1.5 times as long as thefollowing one. Maxillary palp composed of 5 segments, proportional lengths of 3rd, 4th and5th segments 50 : 52 : 123; 3rd segment enlarged, sensory vesicle elliptical about 0.6 times aslong as 3rd segment. Cibarium smooth.Thorax. Scutum brownish black, densely covered with whitish yellow pubescence anderect long black hairs on prescutellar area. Scutellum brownish black whitish grey pruinosewith whitish yellow pubescence. Postscutellum dark and bare. Pleural membrance andkatepisternum bare. Legs. All coxae and trochanters brown except fore trochanter yellow. Alltibiae yellow except apical 1/4~2/5 and basal 1/7 of fore and hind tibiae brown. Head with 1 facialand 3 frontal pairs of long, simple trichomes, whereas thorax with 5 pairs of simple, longtrichomes. Gill organ with 4 filaments arranged in pairs arising near base, about 1/2 times aslong as pupal body proper; common stalk short, but longer than secondary stalks; two lowerpair filaments a little thicker (1 .3) and longer (1.5) than those of upper pair filaments. Theouter filament of lower pair diverged in a vertical plane at an angle; all filaments taperingdistally, with numerous transverse ridges and covered densely with minute tubercles.Abdomen. Hypostomium with a row of 9 apical teeth of which eachcorner tooth and median tooth are developed; lateral serrations weakly developed on apical 1/2;4 hypostomial setae lying parallel to lateral margin on each side. Postgenal cleft medium,rounded anteriorly, subequal in length to postgenal bridge. Thorax and abdomen integumentsbare. Rectal gill lobes simple. Anal sclerite X-formed with anterior short arms about 0.7 timesas long as posterior ones; Postrior circlet with about 65 rows of 12~15 hooklets per row.Ventral papillae prominent.Holotype:早, reared from pupa. Bailongtan, Yuntai Mountain, Jiaozuo City, HenanProvince, 35° 14'N, 113*25'E, 1 060 m.05-VI-2005, WEI Jing; Paratypes, 19, 12 pupae, 18larvae, same data as holotype.Remarks. According to the shape of female genitalia and the characters of pupa and larva,this new species seems to fall into the vernum-group of Simulium (Nevermannia) difined byTakaoka (1996). It is closely related to S. (N.) xinbinense Chen et Cao (1983) from China andS. ActaZootaxonomica Sinica, 2006, 31(4): 880-882.河南省蚋屬-新種(雙翅目:蚋科)溫小軍，韋靜， 陳漢彬(貴陽(yáng)醫學(xué)院生物學(xué)教研室，貴州貴陽(yáng)550004)記述采自河南1新種:河南紡蚋Simulium (Nevermannia) henanense, sp. nov。根據其外生殖器的形狀、幼蟲(chóng)和蛹的特征，本新種隸屬于Simulium (Nevermannia)的寬足蚋組vernum-group。其蛹的特征與中國的S. (N.) xinbinense和西馬來(lái)西亞的S. (N.) kurtaki相似，但是與后2種在雌蟲(chóng)股節的顏色、幼蟲(chóng)后頰裂和直腸腮的形狀迥異，可資鑒別。模式標本存放于貴陽(yáng)醫學(xué)院生物學(xué)教研室。中國煤化工正模:早，河南焦作云臺山白龍潭，海拔1YHCN MH比緯35"14'，韋靜采;副模: 1早，12蛹，18 幼蟲(chóng)，同正模。關(guān)鍵詞:雙翅目;蚋科;蚋屬;新種:河南
